Hon Andrea Michaels MP, Minister for Small & Family Business, Consumer & Business Affairs, & Art

Andrea Michaels is the State Member of Parliament for the seat of Enfield and the Minister for Small and Family Business, Consumer and Business Affairs and the Arts.  Andrea’s family fled war-torn Cyprus in 1974, landing in South Australia in 1976 when she was just 11 months old. Andrea’s family arrived with nothing but the clothes on their backs. From these humble beginnings, Andrea’s parents proved that Australia was indeed the lucky country. clubs in the Enfield electorate. Andrea is a true believer in a fair go for everyone in our community and is a strong social justice advocate passionately calling for reforms to end homelessness and poverty in our community. She is passionate about supporting local businesses, improving essential services and ensuring good educational outcomes for all. Since arriving in Australia, Andrea has benefitted from the opportunity of obtaining a good education which provided her with wonderful employment opportunities and the chance to run her own business. Andrea knows that it is important that we provide good opportunities for our children to thrive.


Ben Bishop - Strategy & Transactions Partner, EY 

Ben Bishop is a Strategy & Transactions Partner at EY. He has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and specializes in advising governments, corporates, and public institutions on complex strategic decisions. That advice is shaped from experiences across various sectors, such as energy, education, technology, health care, and public policy.   Ben spends most of his time assembling and leading great teams and is a strong advocate of influential leadership. He has led and managed several high-profile and cross-border projects in the UK, US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Ben is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He is also the Chair of the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to fund innovative research to prevent, treat, and cure mental illnesses.   Ben is based in Adelaide, with his wife, 3 kids and a Border Collie.  He travels frequently to meet clients and teams, reads broadly and is always keen for a hit of tennis


Kate Croser - CEO, SA Film Corporation 

Kate Croser is the Chief Executive Officer of the South Australian Film Corporation and an Emmy award-winning film and television producer. Kate's work has been nominated for and won Australian Academy Awards and screened at the world’s most prestigious international film festivals. Kate has established successful independent production and distribution companies including Hedone Productions, nominated for Australian Screen Business of the Year at the 2015 Screen Producers Australia awards. Kate currently serves as a member of the Board of Ausfilm and the University of Adelaide’s Creativity and Culture Industry Advisory Board. Kate also currently serves as a Committee for Economic Development Australia (CEDA) Trustee, a member of the SA Leaders for Gender Equity and SA Chapter Chair for Chief Executive Women (CEW). Kate previously served on the Board of the South Australian Film Corporation, and was a Councillor for Screen Producers Australia, the peak industry body for independent screen production in Australia. Earlier this year, Kate was selected as a finalist in The Advertiser Sunday Mail Woman of the Year Awards – Leader of the Year category.


Anton Andreacchio - Cofounder & Managing Director, Convergen 

Anton Andreacchio is cofounder and managing director of Convergen, an animation company that specializes in infrastructure visualisation, Jumpgate, a XR studio specializing in high performance training, and Artisan Post Group, a full service post production company for film and television. From a background in Applied Mathematics and business, Anton has produced projects that have screened at the Venice Biennale, Sundance and SxSW, and is the chair of the Adelaide Film Festival. 


Rachel Healy - Former Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival

Originally from Adelaide, Rachel has been working in the arts and cultural sector for more than twenty years including four years as Director of Performing Arts for Sydney Opera House and ten years as General Manager of Belvoir St Theatre. Rachel has also worked for The Australian Ballet, Handspan Theatre and the State Theatre Company of South Australia and as a cultural industries consultant and independent producer. She was a participant in the Australian Prime Minister's 2020 summit and has served on many arts boards including the Sydney Opera House Trust, Live Performance Australia, Kage Physical Theatre, Arts NSW and as Deputy Chair of the Theatre Board of the Australia Council. 

From 2011 – 2015 Rachel was Executive Manager, Culture for the City of Sydney where she was instrumental in developing and drafting the City’s first cultural policy and 10-year action plan and the City’s Live Music and Performance Action Plan. She is currently Chair of the Creative Economy Taskforce and also of Carclew (South Australia’s only multi-art form and cultural organisation dedicated to artistic outcomes by and for people aged 26 and under). In May 2015, it was announced that Rachel Healy and Neil Armfield AO were to become JointArtistic Directors of the Adelaide Festival for a tenure of three years – the first co-artistic directors in the festival’s history. Their first festival in 2017 was well received by critics and the public, with Adelaide Festival achieving its highest box office in history. Following the success, Rachel’s and Neil’s terms have been extended by a further two years up to and including 2023.

 
Christie Anthoney – Head of Public Affairs, Adelaide Festival Centre

Christie is an experienced arts leader who works in the festivals, education and arts sector.  She has experience in senior management, artistic direction, public policy development, event delivery and strategic solutions.   She has a strong commitment to social outcomes that progress creativity, support artists and generate wealth.  Through years of working around the world with experienced professionals in many fields, Christie has built a vast network and is always just degrees away from the right person for the job.



Jessica Alice - Chief Executive Officer, Writers SA

Jessica Alice is a writer, broadcaster and arts leader from Melbourne’s west, living on Kaurna Yarta (Adelaide). She is Chief Executive Officer of Writers SA, the state's peak organisation for literature, Chair of the Arts Industry Council of South Australia, and Chair of the National Young Writers Festival. She has formerly held senior leadership positions with Melbourne Writers Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival and SYN Media. Jessica holds an MFA in Cultural Leadership from NIDA.
