Duncan Archibald, Commercial Specialist, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce
 

Over 15 years’ experience working with the U.S. Government’s pre-eminent trade and marketing agency. Duncan is a professional and creative business development and relationship builder with comprehensive experience assisting U.S. ICT, automotive aftermarket and financial services companies enter and sell products and solutions into the Australian market through forming alliances with the local channel or through establishing subsidiary offices. Experience with dealing with, and marketing/selling solutions to C-level executives at blue-chip companies, and Australian government agencies. Duncan also has responsibility for promoting foreign direct investment from Australia into the U.S. as the Commerce Department’s SelectUSA representative in Australia.

As Co-Founder and CEO of CoSec, Blair leads the team making the complex simple for offshore companies looking to Australia or the USA to undertake research and development, sell their product, or invest in a business. Having acted as Company Secretary and in-house counsel for several private and public companies in both China and Australia, Blair applies his in-depth knowledge of corporate regulatory environments to help offshore companies establish a presence in Australia and the USA. As an expert in international expansions, Blair has participated in several global accelerator programs, including Austrade's San Francisco Landing Pad, Sydney Landing Pad, and Startupbootcamp. Blair has spoken at numerous conferences and events worldwide, including London Tech Week, Biotech Showcase in San Francisco, Austrade’s AgTech Summit in Tel Aviv, and various events in Australia. Blair holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Chinese from Monash University as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from Governance Institute of Australia. Blair is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Naomi Seddon, Partner, Littler
  

Naomi Seddon is a partner with the global law firm, Littler Mendelson. As a qualified lawyer in 3 countries, including the US, Australia and New Zealand, Naomi is an international lawyer who specializes in assisting companies to enter new markets globally. Naomi has assisted over 350 companies with their global expansion plans and in 2016 she was named one of the top 500 attorneys in the United States for legal advice by Legal 500. Naomi is also a non-executive director of the ASX-listed company Megaport, a passionate advocate of international surrogacy rights and was recently appointed to the board of Surrogacy Australia. She is also on the advisory boards of Global Village and United Stages.
