About the Event

The first 100 Days of any new US President’s administration is considered a honeymoon: a time to deliver on campaign promises and get big agenda items through. In January 2021, Joe Biden entered office with plans to subdue COVID, build the economic recovery, overhaul climate policy and rein in the power of tech companies. Many of these issues are also priorities for the Australian Government. How will the 46th president’s plans impact Australia’s future? What do US moves mean for Australian businesses in the resources, defence, healthcare, and technology sectors? How will Australian decisions about tech giants, resources, and COVID play into opportunities in our region?

To consider these topics and more, AmCham members and their guests are invited to join The Hon Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia, for a special breakfast event. We shall hear an address from Governor Beazley, followed by a one on one Q&A session with ProfessorGordon FlakeCEO of Perth USAsia Centre.

The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) represents business; providing networking opportunities, valuable support for emerging industries, and helping to establish business networks and commercial partnerships. Through AmCham’s advocacy work, the chamber works to improve the efficiency and strength of the business sector to build a strong and prosperous economy.
