About the Event

One of the key actions from the 2022 Jobs and Skills Summit is ‘Maximising jobs and opportunities in our industries and communities'. Since that time the shortage of skills has been exacerbated by the expansion of a number of sectors including defence, mining and energy, health, tech and cyber. It seems that no sector is untouched in the race for skills.

At the upcoming AmCham Business Luncheon, Adam Reid, Chief Executive for the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science will deliver some remarks around the future industries that will drive South Australia’s prosperity and capability.

Our panel of experts will then discuss the talent drought in tourism, hospitality, aged care and higher education’s response to skills; how will we develop and keep productive teams; and what still needs to be done to ensure that Australia can realise its potential in the future industries that will change the world.
