Hon. Ambassador Joe Hockey, Former Ambassador of Australia to the United States, Former Australian TreasurerFounding Partner & President, Bondi Partners
Ambassador the Honorable Joe Hockey (Ret.) founded Bondi Partners in 2020 after having served as Australia’s Ambassador to the United States of America. He took up his posting in Washington in January 2016. Notably, Joe was responsible for Australia’s relationship with the U.S. during the final year of President Obama’s tenure and the first three years of President Trump’s term. As Ambassador, Joe emphasized the importance of a free and fair trade and investment partnership between the U.S. and Australia, while promoting innovative infrastructure investment throughout America. Previously, as the elected Treasurer of Australia, Joe was responsible for all aspects of the Australian economy, helped shape the modern financial system in Australia and chaired the highly successful G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings in 2015. At Bondi Partners, Joe spearheads the firm’s global strategic direction, identifies emerging investment opportunities across Australia, the U.S. and the U.K. and leads negotiations on mergers and acquisitions where ESG is an ever growing consideration.

Jane HoskingPrincipal Climate Change, BHP
Principal Climate Change, BHP Olympic Dam. Jane has over 12 years with BHP including 5 years based in Chile where she managed the Environment Analysis and Improvement team in Santiago. Prior to joining BHP she worked in various environmental roles in the Northern Territory, Australian and South Australian governments. Across her career she has worked on a diverse range of topics including the development of the first remotely sensed land cover change map of the Northern Territory, the implementation of the 2004 Tasmanian forestry policy, management of a forest BHP conservation trust in Chile and supported the establishment of an eDNA project in the Andean high plains. She is driven to support the development of safe and sustainable operations that help deliver on BHP social value commitments. Jane is also an alumni of the University of Adelaide.

Professor Ian Overton, Chief Executive, Green Industries SA
Chief Executive, Green Industries SA (ex officio). Ian has over 30 years experience in business, research, academia and government, including 17 years with the CSIRO. He has a passion for sustainability and enhancing environmental, social and economic outcomes  and the implementation of the circular economy.  Ian is also a Professor (Affiliate), at the Adelaide Business School, University of Adelaide.

Dr Amanda RischbiethAM FAICDSenior Adviser & Consultant ESG Capability
Amanda has been a Visiting Scientist at Harvard Chan School of Public Health from 2017-2022 after being competitively selected as one of 40 global leaders as a Harvard Advanced Leadership Fellow in 2017. She is a member of the global Advisory Council for 
the Harvard Business School Impact-Weighted Accounts Project. Amanda chairs the National Blood Authority and is a Non-Executive Director of Duxton Farms (ASX:DBF).   She has over twenty-two years of Non-Executive Director experience and was a CEO of a leading health organisation for 6 years. Amanda’s board advisory work focuses on sustainability, governance, and health. She is also a senior adviser on Environmental,Social, Governance (ESG) capability to PwC Australia. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Adelaide, a member of Chief Executive Women and International Women’s Forum Australia, and a former Telstra Business Women’s Award Finalist. Amanda has been an AICD Faculty member for over 15 years on their flagship Company Directors Course. Amanda’s PhD in 2007 focused on intensive care decision-support systems and earlier in her career she established and co-led an Intensive Care Unit for ten years. In 2018 she joined the Hands-On group going to Sri Lanka, fitting 247 prosthetic hands to landmine victims.

Richard Spencer, Global Chair, Bondi Partners
Richard V. Spencer is the Global Chair of Bondi Partners, an advisory and investment firm at the epicenter of policy, politics, and the private sector. As well as being the Managing Director of Pallas Ventures, a private investment fund dedicated to growing dual-use technology companies, Richard also sits on three U.S. corporate boards working through ESG issues as they affect insurance, defence and manufacturing. Richard was the 76th Secretary of the Navy - sworn in to the office in August 2017 and served until November 2019. Prior to his public service, he was Managing Director of Fall Creek Management LLC which focuses on value enhancement of private companies through capital investment and advice. He is former Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE-ICE) the leading electronic commodity futures exchange. He served in that capacity from November 2001 through January 2008. Richard was the President of Crossroads Investment Management LLC from 1998 to 2001, a leading venture capital and private equity fund-of-funds investment firm. He joined Crossroads after working on Wall Street for 16 years. Richard also served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot.

Dr. Chris Graves is a Chartered Accountant, an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise and Head of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Family Enterprise discipline at the University of Adelaide Business School. Chris has ‘real life’ experience working with family businesses as an accountant in public practice and, more recently, as a specialist family enterprise advisor for KPMG Australia. His academic research on the strategic behaviour and performance of family enterprises has been published in leading international academic journals and recognised with awards from the Family Firm Institute (USA) and the International Family Enterprise Research Academy (Europe).
