Senator the Hon Jane Hume, Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and the Digital Economy; Minister for Women’s Economic Security
Senator the Hon Jane Hume was first appointed to the Australian Federal Ministry in 2019, with responsibility for Superannuation, Financial Services and Financial Technology. Her responsibilities were expanded in 2020 to encompass the broader digital economy, and again in 2021 when she became the first Minister for Women’s Economic Security
Minister Hume is passionate about her portfolios- from improving Australia’s superannuation system, ensuring it is transparent, efficient and fit-for-purpose; to facilitating Australia’s ambition to be a world leading digital economy and society by 2030; to ensuring the best possible economic outcomes for women, there is much work to do.
Upon being elected as a Liberal Senator for Victoria in 2016, Senator Hume was appointed Chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Economics. She previously held various senior positions in the financial services industry, working for the National Australia Bank, Rothschild Australia, Deutsche Bank and, immediately prior to her election, as a Senior Policy Adviser at Australian Super.
A proud Melburnian and St Kilda supporter, Minister Hume enjoys swimming, reading, and most of all, spending time with her three children, Harry, Charlie, and Imogen.
Pip Marlow, CEO, Salesforce Australia
Pip Marlow is Chief Executive Officer, Salesforce Australia, New Zealand and ASEAN. In this role, Pip is responsible for ensuring Salesforce delivers on its values of trust, customer success, innovation and equality for both our customers and our community across ANZ/ASEAN.
Prior to Salesforce, Pip was Chief Executive Officer Customer Marketplace at Suncorp, where she was responsible for driving customer focus into all aspects of Suncorp’s business including strategy, customer care, partnerships and innovative solutions that add value for customers. Prior to joining Suncorp in 2016, Pip was at Microsoft for 21 years where she held a number of roles for them in Australia and the USA. This culminated in her role as the Managing Director of Microsoft Australia for 6 years.
Pip is also a non-executive director of the Rugby Australia (ARU), sits on the Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Board at UTS, is a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW), and is an Executive Ally for Pride Diversity. She is a passionate advocate for flexible and diverse workplaces that empower people. Born and raised in New Zealand, Pip lives in Sydney with her Scottish husband and her two American born daughters, Sophie and Lucy.
Suzanne Steele, VP and MD Australia and New Zealand, Adobe Inc.
Suzanne is a customer-centric leader who understands the importance of client relationships to competitive differentiation and growth.
Adobe ANZ is at the forefront of a market where no industry is immune from digital disruption. In her role, Suzanne is responsible for driving the ANZ business to new levels as well as supporting customers realise their mission of delivering exceptional experiences.
Suzanne has 25+ years’ experience in leading and motivating management teams across data, software and analytics businesses, with her work abroad in North America, the UK and Singapore including senior roles at Visa Europe, CACI London and Morgan Stanley.
Prior to joining Adobe at the end of 2017, Suzanne spent two years leading Experian’s ANZ operations as Managing Director, with proven success in driving high-performance and engagement through a period of significant business transformation.
Wayne Gerard, CEO and Co-founder, RedEye; Queensland Chief Entrepreneur
Wayne is the CEO and Co-founder of RedEye. Founded in Brisbane in 2012, RedEye’s cloud and mobile solutions are purpose built for organisations that own and operate critical infrastructure. RedEye’s customers’ manage more than $250bn worth of assets using RedEye's Asset & Engineering Information Management, Bushfire Risk Management and Digital Twin solutions. RedEye has offices in Australia, North America, NZ and the Philippines and is backed by the world’s leading infrastructure investors including Macquarie Capital, Energy Innovation Capital (USA), QIC.
Wayne has founded multiple companies, he has served on a number of industry bodies, boards and government working groups focused on entrepreneurship, startups and innovation. Wayne was awarded the Queensland Entrepreneur of the Year Percy Award in 2015, he currently serves as a Governor of AMCHAM QLD, on the board of WaterStart QLD and was appointed Queensland's Chief Entrepreneur in June 21. He’s passionate about connecting and accelerating Queensland’s economy and community through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dr Sarah Kelly OAM, Associate Professor, Marketing and Law, University of Queensland
Serving on a range of corporate, government and not-for-profit boards, across a variety of sectors since 2013, Sarah is a highly respected and accomplished business leader and company director and associate professor in law and marketing at the University of Qld and is globally known for her research, speaking and consulting in the sports field. She is the co-leader of a Trust, Ethics and Governance research alliance at UQ and has over 30 years of commercial experience, including as a commercial lawyer, strategy consultant and researcher. Sarah currently serves as a non-executive director on several boards, including as Deputy Chair of the Brisbane Lions AFL Football Club, Deputy Chair of Tourism and Events Qld, Events Management Qld, The Gregory Terrace Foundation and the Wandering Warriors. She was recently appointed to the role of Queensland Chapter Leader for the Minerva Network, a national social enterprise concerned with providing mentoring by c-suite women to professional sportswomen. This year, she was awarded an Order of the Medal of Australia for service to tertiary education and sports administration.
