Free Trade - The Driving Force of Global Economy

International trade and investment are drivers of growth in many countries. Whilst Australia and Germany have benefited greatly from open trade and international competition, the international developments in the free trade sphere are complex and some countries even threatening the future of free trade. Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) have helped to reduce barriers to trade and investment, especially for Australia.

In times when many of us thought that the case for FTAs has been made, it’s become evident that we need to engage further into a dialogue between the Indo-Pacific Region and other nations.

AmCham is pleased to partner with the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Australia China Business Council  for a unique opportunity to hear from the German Chamber’s President and CEO of the world's largest mining company at this exclusive business dinner with Andrew Mackenzie on his stance on the current global, regional and bilateral developments, including the Trump administration's recent announcements on tariffs and opportunities from the upcoming Aus-tralia-EU FTA.
