About the Event

New Industry partnerships with world leading research and innovation centres are driving real commercial outcomes. Access to state-of-the-art equipment and utilizing cutting edge AI and quantum computing technologies are benefitting businesses across all sectors, including energy, health, manufacturing and defence. Universities are not just education centres where students earn a degree and exit to join the workforce, they are your valuable innovation partner!

These partnerships also provide access to R&D incentive programs that extend industry research budgets and create new models for commercialising research and delivering commercial outcomes.

Belinda Hutchinson AC is the Chancellor at The University of Sydney and previously held executive roles in finance.

Sam Maresh is country leader of global energy giant GE, which has a long history of working closely with researchers to develop new forms of safe, efficient, reliable, and affordable power.

Hon Gabrielle Upton MP is Parliamentary Secretary to the NSW Premier. Ms Upton led the taskforce investigating pathways to boosting R&D in NSW as a collaboration with the state’s chief scientist and engineer Hugh Durrant-White. The recently announced Investment NSW and R&D NSW are Government initiatives which will offer a “one stop shop” for business interacting with government and will enhance university-industry working relationships.

Dr Mohammad Choucair, CEO of small cap ASX listed technology company Archer Materials is accessing the facilities they need to build their micro-processor chip prototypes at the Research and Prototype Foundry located within the world-class, $150 million purpose-built Sydney Nanoscience Hub.

How can your business access the range of government R&D incentives, and the cutting edge facilities offered at Universities such as The University of Sydney, and how are these partnerships producing significant commercial benefits today?
