Boardroom Briefing with UPS
Scott Price, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer
Join AmCham and APEC leader Scott Price for this boardroom luncheon, hosted by Corrs Chambers Westgarth.
With global trade tensions giving rise to an increasingly challenging economic climate, now is an important time to reflect on the role of multinational transportation and logistics companies in the modern economy. While commerce is increasingly carried out in the digital sphere, the physical transport of goods remains key for businesses and individuals alike.
As Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Scott Price’s role is to ensure that UPS stays at the forefront of innovation and markets to ensure continued growth. Throughout 2018, UPS has continued to expand the services it offers and regions it serves. UPS has opened new facilities and upgraded pre-existing facilities across the globe; acquired and ordered new aircraft; and added new air, rail, and sea routes. UPS also continues to push sustainability in all areas of its business, introducing alternative-fuel vehicles to its fleet and investing advanced analytics and artificial intelligence in order to optimise delivery routes.
Mr Price’s active involvement with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) gives him a particular focus on promoting trade and business in and with this region. He is chairman of the US National Center for APEC, and one of three White House-appointed American members of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).
