Peter Tonagh is the Chief Executive Officer of Foxtel Management Pty Limited.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Foxtel , Peter held positions at News Corp Australia as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Peter also held the role of interim Chief Executive Officer of the REA Group leading that business as the REA Board completed its search and appointment of its permanent CEO, Tracey Fellows.

Peter previously had a successful 9 year career at Foxtel, where he held the dual roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and was responsible for the overall strategy, including the acquisition and integration of Austar, and channel negotiations and relationships, and oversaw a significant increase in Foxtel’s expenditure on content, including original local production.

Prior to joining Foxtel, he was Vice President and Director of The Boston Consulting Group, working across Australia and New Zealand and throughout Asia.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD, Europe’s leading business school, where he graduated on the Dean's Merit List.
