The Inflation Reduction Act climate legislation passed by the United States Congress represents $520 billion worth of programs and funding to accelerate US transition to net zero. This is in addition to funding available through the Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office.

Australian-headquartered critical minerals company Ioneer is a homegrown story of inspiration, having captured the attention and substantial funding of the United States Department of Energy.

With a conditional commitment of up to AU$1 billion (US$700 million) for Rhyolite Ridge LLC, Ioneer will construct a new lithium carbonate processing facility in Nevada, providing the United States with a more secure supply of critical materials used in the production of EV batteries.

Bernard Rowe is a geologist, manager and company director with more than 25 years’ international experience in mineral exploration and mine development. His diverse mineral industry experience includes gold, copper, zinc, diamond, lithium and boron exploration in Australia, Europe, Africa, North America and South America. Bernard has 20 years’ experience in Nevada and led the acquisition of the Rhyolite Ridge Project in 2016.
