"Game Changer: The Future of Global Sport"

Prior to the pandemic, the sports industry contributed some $14.4 billion to Australia's GDP and generated $32.2 million in sales, whilst supporting 128,000 full-time jobs. As the world begins to recover from the pandemic, global sport is taking the spotlight like never before and Victoria is getting right amongst the action!

Victoria will be host to the 2026 Commonwealth Games and Melbourne has cemented itself as the home for Asia-Pacific's only grand slam, the Australian Open. It will also remain home to the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix until 2035, and next year, the F1 will be joined by Formula 2 and Formula 3.

In August, the US Marines will compete for the first time in the Australian Rules Football International competition and this year has seen Miami host the second US F1 race.

Join us for this exciting cocktail event, over drinks and South-East Asian inspired canapes, from The George's Head Chef, Kingsley Heron, and hear from international sports leaders on the future of global sport, and how Victoria is positioning itself on the global stage, for a sport-led recovery.
