The Science Behind Leadership

With Suzi Skinner, Published Author and International Leadership Specialist

The Science Behind Leadership

Recent evidence in organisational research shows that leadership is no longer effective as a top down, hierarchical approach. Instead, science tells us that leadership is fact multi-directional, emergent and highly contextual. Groups and teams take on their own identities when it comes to leading and no two teams are the same. Given this complexity, every one of us has the opportunity to evolve our thinking on leadership and how we can all adapt.

In this highly interactive session, Suzi Skinner will take you through what these shifts mean for you and how you can adopt a mindset that embraces the relational perspectives needed in organisations today.

Drawing from the leadership literature and Suzi’s experience working globally with multinational organisations, you will learn:

• What it really means to lead effectively

• The core mindset shift we all need to make – and how it translates into daily  commitments

• How you can choose to empower leadership at every level
