About the Event
The Hon Chris Minns MP, Premier of NSW

Chris Minns is the 47th Premier of New South Wales and the Member for Kogarah.
Chris was born and raised in the St George area. He previously worked in politics, the charity sector and briefly as a retained firefighter while completing his studies.
Chris was elected as the Member for Kogarah in 2015 and became leader of the NSW Labor Party in June 2021, successfully leading the party to Government at the 2023 NSW Election.
Chris has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New England and a Master’s in Public Policy from Princeton University where he won a full scholarship to complete his studies. He is married to Anna, a businesswoman and lawyer and together they have three sons, Joe, Nick, and George.

Professor Mark Scott AO is the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Sydney.
Professor Scott is a proud alumnus of the University and holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Education, a Master of Arts (Political Science and Government), an Honorary Doctorate (Letters) and a Professor of Practice (Education and Media) from the University of Sydney, as well as a Master of Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He has also been awarded honorary doctorates from the University of NSW and University of Technology Sydney.
Under his leadership, the University has embarked an ambitious 10-year strategy, with immediate commitments to more than double scholarship support for under-represented domestic students and invest nearly half a billion dollars in a world-leading biomedical precinct.
