'Changing the Game - Addressing the Unconscious Bias'
Join Andrew Stevens, Managing Director, IBM; Gareth Edgecombe, President Asia Pacific, Campbell Arnott's; and Helen Conway, Director, Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) for an EOWA Award Winners Panel.
Both IBM Australia and Campbell Arnott's are committed to advancing women in senior leadership roles. IBM Australia has been the recepient of the EOWA Award for Leading Organisation for the Advancement of Women; while Campbell Arnott's won the Minister's Award for Outstanding Initiative/Practice in Achieving Workplace Flexibility through Job Design. IBM Australia is also on the 2012 EOWA Employer of Choice for Women list.
The panel will discuss the changes workplaces need to make and bring their own perspectives to the table. As well as taking questions from the floor, they will share their views on the actions their companies have taken and the results that have been achieved so far.

• ANDREW STEVENS is the Managing Director of IBM Australia and New Zealand, having been appointed to this role in January 2011. He manages a business with annual revenues of more than $4 billion. IBM Australia have professional development programs, leadership conferences and mentoring programs to advance female talent into senior positions. They have a strong focus on making their workplace more inclusive for women and to have greater representation of women in technical, leadership and professional roles.
• GARETH EDGECOMBE is the President - Asia Pacific at Campbell Arnott's, appointed in August 2011. He reports to the President, International, and sits on Campbell's International Leadership Team. Campbell Arnott’s has put in place a number of successful flexible working arrangements to assist women at all levels of the organisation. Jobs have been designed / redesigned for a Strategic Planner, Administration Officer, job-share Group Marketing Managers, job-share Team Leaders and job-share maintenance planners.
• HELEN CONWAY is the Director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA). The Agency is an Australian Government statutory authority and key to the government’s efforts to improve gender equality in the workplace. EOWA works with employers to improve equal opportunity outcomes for women in the workplace by delivering practical solutions; building strategic partnerships; and leading public debate to increase the rate of change.
