How Will Individuals and Entities in Australia be Impacted by the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)?

This event will bring together experts from PwC’s Corporate Tax and Global Mobility teams. The interactive presentation will give you the latest updates and practical insights into what the latest developments in global tax information reporting mean for you.

Part 1 - Individuals

With the recent U.S. elections, we will provide an update on the individual tax changes to expect with the incoming government. We will discuss the complexities with FATCA reporting for individuals and the impact of the US-Australian tax system on individuals and families moving or investing in the US.

Part 2 - Corporations

We will provide a status update on FATCA developments since its enactment in Australia, and also the implementation of the OECD common reporting standard (CRS). We will discuss the application of the two regimes, their impact on businesses, implications for customers and documentation expectations.
