The Chamber’s Board of Directors is responsible for the policy, direction, activities and management of the organisation activities in all states.

Ms Maureen Dougherty , President , Boeing Australia & South Pacific

Maureen Dougherty was named President of Boeing Australia and South Pacific in March 2014. As the senior Boeing executive in the region, she is responsible for coordinating all Boeing activities and leads the Company’s government affairs efforts. Previously, Dougherty served as Vice President within Boeing Defence, Space & Security’s Boeing Military Aircraft unit.

Throughout her 30-year career, Dougherty has held a variety of engineering and program leadership positions on missile, fighter, bomber and military commercial derivative aircraft programs. She has a broad technical background in structures, avionics, systems and test engineering and has managed programs through development, production and sustainment.

Dougherty is a member of the Business Council of Australia, sits on the President’s Council of the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Chairman’s Panel for The Great Barrier Reef Foundation.

Mr Jeremy Canham , Regional Manager, Australia Pacific , Caterpillar of Australia Pty Ltd

Jeremy Canham is the Regional Manager of Australia Pacific for Caterpillar. This portfolio includes the CAT Power, Resources & Construction businesses as well as the administration and management of the Dealer relationships.

He is also a Director of Caterpillar of Australia Pty Ltd, Caterpillar Financial Australia &
New Zealand, Perkins Engines America Inc. and JV Atlas Heavy Engineering Pty Ltd.

He has held a variety of management positions in Caterpillar & subsidiary Perkins with over 30 years of experience in Engineering, Operations, Marketing & Product Support. He has visited & conducted business in over 100 countries and has lived in the UK, USA, Switzerland, Singapore and Australia.

His background focuses on Marketing & Strategy, Brand & Distribution Development, Strategic Alignment & Performance.

Mr Tony Clemens , Global Leader International Tax Services , PwC

Tony is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers Mergers & Acquisitions/International Tax Services Group in Sydney and has been with PwC since 1978. He was admitted as a partner of the Taxation Division in 1986. Since 1988 he has been a Lead Partner of Australian Tax, Mergers & Acquisitions and International Group. He is currently a member of the firm’s Board of Partners.

Tony advises many Australian multinationals on their international business transactions. He is regularly included as an adviser on the largest transactions in Australia each year. Tony has been nominated by the International Tax Review as one of Australia’s leading tax advisers for many years.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics, Sydney University and was awarded the T.J. McGoffin Prize for Taxation Law. Tony is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a Member of the International Fiscal Association.

Mr Niels Marquardt , CEO , American Chamber of Commerce in Australia

Niels Marquardt started as CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham) on October 15, 2013. He is a former American diplomat with decades of experience promoting international trade and investment.

His final diplomatic assignment was as U.S. Consul General in Sydney, 2010-2013. During a 34-year State Department career, Niels also served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Madagascar and the Union of the Comoros (2007 - 2010), to the Republic of Cameroon (2004 – 2007), and to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea (2004 – 2006). In three of those countries, Niels helped found and launch new AmCham chapters.

Mr Page Maxson , Chief Executive Officer , Australia Pacific LNG Pty Limited

Page Maxson is CEO of Australia Pacific LNG in Queensland. Page has been seconded into the role of CEO by JV partner ConocoPhillips. Prior to starting with APLNG in June 2010, Page was deputy CEO of ConocoPhillips’ Shah Gas Field, a joint venture between ConocoPhillips and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. Since joining ConocoPhillips in 1988, he has fulfilled a variety of assignments, including roles in Texas, Norway, Indonesia. In 1999, he became Operating Centre Manager for the Pocahontas coal bed methane project in Virginia. In 2000, he moved to Aberdeen and became operating unit manager for the Southern North Sea before being named General Manager of the Southern North Sea Business Centre. He was named President and General Manager of ConocoPhillips’ Libya division in 2006.

Maxson graduated with a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1982. He also earned a master of business administration from the University of Texas in 1984.

Mr Richard Owen , Chairman , ExxonMobil Australia Pty Ltd

Richard J. Owen is the Chairman and Managing Director of the ExxonMobil group of companies in Australia.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from The University of Sydney. He joined Esso Australia as an engineer at the Longford Plant in Sale in 1983. Throughout his career with ExxonMobil he has held various technical and operating management positions in Australia, USA, Germany and Indonesia. He was appointed to his current position in June 2013.

Richard is currently a Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, a board member of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) and a member of the Business Council or Australia. Richard is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Richard is married to Jennifer and has two adult sons.

Mr Graeme Rooke , Project Director , AGC Industries Pty Ltd

Graeme Rooke is the General Manager of Matrix Offshore Services & Engineering, a division of the wider Matrix Composites & Engineering Group.

Graeme is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a post graduate qualification in Business Administration. Graeme has over 30 years' industry experience including extensive EPC D&C and EPCM experience and project management for major resource, industrial and infrastructure projects in Australia and abroad.

Prior to Matrix, Graeme was the Executive General Manager of Downer EDI Australia, and Director for Energy (Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Renewables and Associated Infrastructure) at Hatch. He has also held the positions of KJVG Project Manager for the Gorgon LNG project and WA Director for Project and Construction Management.

Graeme is a Chartered Professional Engineer and is on the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia.
